The Bible is the greatest Book in the world. It was written by 40 men, translated by hundreds, printed by thousands, read by millions of people.
WHAT GREAT MEN SAID:
“If I were put in prison and would be allowed to take along with me but one book, I would choose the Bible.” – Goethe
Luther: “The Bible is not an antique, nor modern, it is eternal.”
Spurgeon read the Bible a hundred times and said, “When reading it for the hundredth time I found the Bible immensely more beautiful than the first time.”
The Bible is like…
“This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.” (John 6:50).
“Is not My Word like as a fire? Saith the Lord”. (Jeremiah 23:29).
A LIGHT –
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105).
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” (1 Peter 2:2).
“Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” (Psalm 19:10).
“More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold.” (Psalm 19:10).
A MIRROR –
“…But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty…” (James 1:23-25).
A HAMMER –
“Is not My Word like…a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29).
A SWORD –
“The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Eph. 6:17 and Heb. 4:12).
“Not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:23).
