Is The Purpose Of Jesus’ Birth Fulfilled in Your Life?

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:- for he shall save his people for their sins.” – Matthew 1:21

This is a question everyone of us need to answer individually not collectively and you should be able to give an appropriate answer too.

This season countless number of people both Christians and non-christians alike are celebrating Christmas. It is said that if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.

This period many new things are released into the world of trade. New style clothes are introduced in the market, clothes that glorify self and exposes the body. We must realize that God never does anything without a purpose. He has a goal and plan for everything He does. So, what is the purpose of Christmas? Why did God sent His only begotten Son to die for man’s sin? Why are we celebrating Christmas today? There is a purpose-

What does purpose means? It signifies meaning, goal and reason. What is the reason why you still drink and smoke? Why do you celebrate Christmas? Is it because others are celebrating?

This period, we are celebrating the BIRTH OF CHRIST. The exact date Jesus was born is not known by any save God. Long ago, Christmas was celebrated around April, thereafter it was shifted to October or thereabout, today we’re celebrating it 25th December because long ago, the early Church fathers agreed on this date under the leadership of Constantine.

We read in Matthew 1:21 that Jesus was born to save his people from their sins. Jesus was born to be the SAVIOUR of the whole world. Why do we need a Saviour then?

We needed a Saviour because the whole world is heading for destruction. God created every man perfect, without sin. He Himself made man (Psalms 100:3). But the only way man could be separated from God was SIN. And guess who brought sin into man? Yes! It’s Satan! And from then, man’s heart has continually imagined evil.

And we know from the Bible that the pay anyone will get from sin is DEATH. God hates sin and sin is sin no matter what you think. Sin is very destructive as it condemns one in HELL FIRE forever and ever. Not only that, it also makes that person a child of the devil (1 John 3:4-10).

This is the reason why Jesus died on the cross of cavalry, to deliver you and I from the power of sin (Romans 6:6) so that we would live holy and blameless before God.

This is not a time and season to promote sin, it’s a season to be sober and reflect on Jesus. It’s not a season to dress naked in the street looking for money, it’s not the time to fornicate, it’s not a time to attend party and drink beer with friends and family, it’s not a time to eat and drink and forget about Church. It’s not a time to look for a boy/girl friend to join yourself to.

1. It should be a time of self examination and repent of every known and unknown sin in your life (2 Corinthians 13:5)

2. It should be a time to share and give gift to one another because God love us, He gave His only begotten Son, you too can be a blessing to someone’s life (John 3:16).

3. It should be a time to tell people about the REASON for the Season – Jesus. Tell someone who don’t know the purpose of Christmas.

If you would love to give your life to Jesus right now, pray this simple prayer sincerely from your heart:

“Dear Jesus, I’m sorry for my sins. I’ve realized that you’re the reason for this season. That you came to set me free from sin. LORD, please help me today, I give my life and heart to you, come into my life, be the Lord of my life from now on, write my name in the book of life. I am born again. Amen”
